I love mine.  I put about 400 rounds of various types and brands through it last Sunday and it performed flawlessly.  The perceived recoil was much lower than I expected.  I've very happy I picked one up.

+1...very accurate and very low recoil for the 45acp caliber and a polymer frame at that!

I have an XD40. I have over 3000 rnds through it. Not one problem. Its accurate too. However the finish sucks. Mine had obvious holster wear after a week. I wish my kimber performed like that.

You guys have got to quit being so free passing around the XD KoolAid... I bought one yesterday (XD-45 Tactical).

I went to Mark's in B'ham last month to buy an XD-45 and came home with a .45 H&K USP instead; I stopped by Tactical Supply yesterday to buy a PLR-16 and came home with an XD-45.  Something is seriously wrong with me...

When you shoot the XD, you'll wonder why you bought the HK.

Over 1000 rounds through mine, crap to caviar with no failures of any kind, and it shoots 14 round groups at 20 yards that I can cover with the palm of my hand.

It's a a Helluva fun gun, and in serious danger of becoming my favorite pistola in the safe.

And did I mention 14 rounds of ACP goodness?

Well, I finally got a chance to try it out this week.

Wow!

I REALLY like this thing so far!  Fits my hand better than any other double-stack .45 I've ever shot (and I've tried most of 'em) and the price is very fair.  If it holds up well and continues to function 100% (I've only put a couple of boxes through it so far), I can see more of these in my future.  Heck, it may eventually become my full-size .45 standard platform and you may see me selling/trading my .45 Glocks, H&K, Ruger... but not the 1911s, of course.
