Hey all. My name is Neil. About 3 years ago, I started getting together with a couple other AR15.com members to shoot simple tactical type drills with our rifles. The thing has grown quite a bit in that time. We're known as the Florida Defensive Carbine Club. It's not really a club because there is nothing to join. Show up and you are a member for that day.

We meet the last Sunday of every month at a free gun range in Lake City. We start at 9:30 am. There's no money involved, it's all for free, very casual and laid back. We run a safe range and do our best to make sure everyone has fun.

Anyone who can agree to follow the 4 Main Safety rules is invited. Email me or post here if you have any other questions. Directions to the range, pictures from shoots, announcements and more are all on the FDCC website. Maybe we'll see you out there with us some time soon!

I'm interested in going to ya'lls get-together. I just can't go on a Sunday...I think it's about a 3 1/2 hour drive to Lake city from here in Destin. Do you ever shoot on Saturdays? Or any weekdays? I'm willing to go if there is something other than a Sunday.

Hahaha, nah, I'm sure you had plenty of ammo, it just needed to be in a mag on your person! In addition to the 4 main safety rules, our 5th rule is you have to have a thick skin. We all make fun of one another and the little goofs we all make without mercy!

We'll be out there on the 29th! Get anyone you like, it will be fun. we'll be trying a couple new ideas we have to keep things moving along quickly. Maybe we'll have 3 courses this time, in addition to the head to head shoot out. Are you on our email list? If not and you want to be, email me and I'll get you on.

I wasnt working that day at the gunshop, but I did hear about it right away. It was really too bad.
