Shiptons Big R is about your only option in Billings.  Isn't there a Lintons Big R in Powell?

Shiptons is good, however they only deal in new firearms.  They have a store on the West end which would be more convenient for you and they can check and transfer firearms from their downtown store if something you want is in stock @ the DT store and out of stock at the West end store...

Butt's Gun Sales in the heights can be a pretty good spot but it's "iffy".  While he deals in new & used some of his prices can be really good, and others are rediculous.  For instance when he has them, a new Bushmaster would probably run around ~$900.  But he's got an over stock of used "preban" ARs which have been sitting on his shelf for years.  He's got an old SGW "stopsign" lower w/ a 16" Bushmaster CAR15 11.5 + 5" upper on it for $1400.  That might be fine in a ban state, but when a new AR w/ all the goodies goes for ~$900 you'd think he would want to move stuff.  Instead he's got Colt SP1 uppers mated w/ new production A2 lowers for just under $900.  On top of that, he's got Colt Sporters and a green label 20" A2 1/9.  Prices on these range from 1200-$2000. His # is 252-8442 and he's located clear up in the heights past wal-mart.  

Sagebrush Trading Post on 1st Ave North. (Close to the METRA)  Deals in new & used. His prices are usually pretty fair but at the moment his selection is nil on ARs.  IIRC right now all he has is a Rock River Arms post ban neutered 16" carbine @ $775.  Cash-wise he usually seems to have some room to work.  His number is 252-2778.  Last time he had a Bushmaster M4 in he was asking somewhere around $920 for it.

For the HKs, might try Shiptons and Scheels as I believe they both carry them and they're close together on the West end.  Shceels is in Rimrock Mall off of 24th Street West basically Due North of Shiptons.  Scheels phone number is 656-9220.  My guess is if either store has an HK that you'd be interested in, it'll be new and @ retail.

Daddy O's Pawn is fine if you want new and enojy a selection- but I'm unimpressed w/ retail prices there...

I think there may be a gun show in Billings coming up in December as well but I'm not certain.  I'll probably post here when I know the date.

The Big R in Powell isnt too great; they dont carry anything AR related (or HK for that matter), although they do keep 1000 round cases of Wolf stocked for me most of the timehere

Hey...assholes...LAY OFF BUTTE!!! Thats where I live and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I go to school in Bozeman thouhg for most of the year but I make the occasional trip back.

Sure Butte has the mines and that huge toxic pit of water...but to be honest...its better than the meth-riden Billings area or the super-liberal Missoula area and GF...jeez...who would want to live there?  Butte is the heart of Montana and we can dominate you all!  

Not to mention we have the 3rd/4th of July, St. Patty's Day, and Evel Dayz!  Beat any one of those!
