No.

But it will still insulate even if wet.

It just weighs a ton more.

I only use wool pants fon hunting, very quiet and warm. Seem to do a good job against the wind too.

I prefer the German ones too. Does the US Army even issue wool pants anymore or is everything Gore-Tex?
