Does anyone know the specifics of a Michigander carrying in Indiana?

I have already checked Packing.org

It says you honor the MI permit but what are the ins and outs so I dont do something stupid?
Also whats the differnce between reciprocity and honors on packing, org?

Do I need to carry my registration card for the pistol?  In MI we do not need to.

In MI we can carry in our car but it has to be concealed.
We cant carry into places that hold over 2500 people
We cant carry into a place that makes more than 49% of it's income selling liquor by the glass.

My "license to carry handgun" states that it is valid anywhere except commercial aircraft. It is legal to carry open, though most choose to carry concealed.

That said, I've heard different rumors stating that state parks, bars, schools, etc. are off-limits, but I have no proof of such.

CMA (Cover My Ass):  I am not a lawyer, do not play one on TV, and have never slept in a Holiday Inn Express...

IN has no registration, so I don't see why they'd care about your card, especially if MI doesn't.  We also have no requirements about having to be concealed, carrying in large public spaces (except the State Fair and maybe the RCA Dome that have special regulations), or bars.  However, there's a phrase like "according to that state's laws" in the part of the law about honoring other states' permits that isn't clear whether it means issued according to the laws of that state or carried according to the laws of that state.  Realistically, I woudn't expect any IN officer to know if you're following MI rules so I would take that to mean if your MI CCW/CPL is valid then you can carry in IN according to IN rules.

State parks were covered in another thread here recently.  I forget what the verdict was.

As far as I know there's no restriction on carrying in bars, but some casinos are off-limits.

Schools are off limits, and no one knows exactly what "school" means in this context.  Feds have some rules about school zones too.

I think most government buildings, and especially courthouses, are off limits.

Great
Thanks a lot guys.
I will just go along with MI laws then
In Ohio with their CPL you have to have your gun in the open when you are in the car so I just wanted to make sure there was nothing silly like that.

I really won't be in any big places.  Im gonna be at a Magic show near the border in Colon Michigan and we will hop down to Amish town haha gotta eat at Das Esenhaus and the Blue Gate.
