There will be a full-auto shoot at the Memphis Sport Shooters range this Sunday. It will be held on the old 600 yard range (in back). Scheduled to start at about 1:00 p.m.
YOU MUST BE A MEMBER TO SHOOT.
Visitors are allowed with a member, and may watch. They must also sign in, with the member, at the clubhouse.
The 600 yard range is accessible from the Sporting Clays area.
For more info, IM me, or any MSSA member.
Come on out, and get ready for Camden!

Wish it wasn't such a drive or I'd be there. Anyone know of any Full Auto shoots in E. TN?

There's gonna be a shoot in Camden, March 18th and 19th. That's a little bit closer.

Camden is north of I-40, just west of the Tennessee River, east of Jackson.

Where are you located?

I am definately coming and will hollar at Pappy and LB as well.

What time do you want to meet up at the clubhouse?

HKO, I'm in Knoxville. Not easy to find other NFA shooters around here.

Does MSSA normally allow full-auto, or is this just for the event? I might have to come back to Memphis and it's good to know where I can play with my toys.

We (a group of Class 3 owners/members) have been trying to have shoots about once a month.
It helps to have the guy heading this up on the MSSA board of directors.

The Memphis area also has some indoor ranges, that allow pistol-caliber F.A. shooting.

P.S. What part of Oregon are you in? It's a beautiful state. Visited Portland, and went to the Columbia River Gorge. WOW!

Noon thirty at the clubhouse sounds like a plan.
I may have to bring some loaded G3 mags. Hint, hint.

Yeah, I know.
It took years, and was like pulling teeth to let us start shooting F.A. at the club.
It's a liability thing, I think.
We're gonna get there. First we crawled, now we're walking. Gonna be jogging soon, I hope.

Think that I just might have to come out and give my new camera a workout.

I'm in the Portland area, looking to move down river right now (coast range). I grew up in Fayette Co., my parents are still there, one reason I might have to come back.
Unfortunately, I only have rifle cal. MGs.

I'd love to join you for the shoot, and I'm even a member. However, I'm not missing out on any shooting, FA or otherwise. Burn a mag or two for me, anyway.

Take care Rictus, and we will all go sling some lead when you get back to town.

Some beer and BBQ after shooting will be on us.

I feel for ya.

Ya know, they make subcaliber kits for some of those.

I live in Fayette, finally escaped the big SHELBY.
Unfortuately, I still work there, and they keep trying to put in a payroll tax.

Regarding the rifle cals., you can shoot at MSSA, or three times a year, they have a shoot outside Camden. Less than 2 hours away, in Tennessee, straight up I-40.

Course, if your folks own a bit of land........

RG!!
Good to hear from ya!
Hope you're doing well.
Let us know when you can go out to play again.

Do ya'll need anything? Anything we can send/do for ya?
How are you set for mags (both kinds)? Wipes, etc...?

Let us know.

HK,
I have never been to the old 600 yard range. Do they set up paper targets or do we just blast into
a berm. I would imagine the range is under three inches of water after all of this rain today.

Will it be rained out??

Link Posted: 1/29/2006 1:16:23 AM EDT
Thanks for the warm words and offers of support. We're very well stocked, and I have more mags than I can store. Even HK's, thoughI carry D&H with Magpuls. I'm living surprisingly well. I'll let you know if we develop any needs.

Post some pics of the shoot and keep in touch. I'll be there for beer and BBQ in a few months.

We shoot into the berm.
As far as I know, we're still a go. If it's too wet, we'll be at the 50 yard line.
