New Member from MoCo.
Shot an M16A2 many moons ago while in the Marine Corps but now I am I am in the market for an AR. Too many to chose from and I am like a kid in a candy store. |

Just signed up for the site. I have been lurking for years but since all the O'Malley drama kicked in I figured I would finally create an account. Originally from Pittsburgh, my wife and I moved to Frederick after renting for two years in NoVa post college. The housing market bombed on us but 18 months ago we moved to New Market and still rent the house out in Frederick, life is pretty good right about now. Maryland is a beautiful state but I can do without the assault on my guns or the high taxes.

Hi Jim here. I am from the Eastern Shore Cecil County. I moved from New Jersey.
I just finished building my AR15 lower and I am waiting to get either a complete upper or build it. I have a Robinson Veper (762x39) which is very heavy and I wanted to get into the AR platform. |

Hey all. I'm Jake, aka petMonster.
I've been using AR15.com as a learning reference for a long time, but I only just now decided to join. I'm former USAF who moved to Baltimore (city) from Chicago a few years ago. Ever since shooting an M16A2 in the AF, I knew I wanted an AR eventually. Amidst O'Malley's recent push for stricter gun laws I was forced to buy my COLT LE6920 earlier and for a much higher price tag than I wanted, but at least I got it before it was too late. This was my first firearm purchase. Anyway, short of my limited shooting-range experience with the AF, I'm a total nube to the gun world. I grew up in a house that had a bolt action hunting rifle stored up in the attic collecting dust. My dad never showed me how to use it, so short of holding it once or twice, I really received no gun education growing up. None of my friends were into guns, either, so I never even heard casual chitchat about guns. And when I DID hear people talking about different caliber and all that stuff, I was totally lost. So anyway, I've done my best to educate myself by reading a ton of literature online, but I still feel lost in a lot of ways. I'll probably be asking a bunch of stupid questions over the next few months, but please bare with me as I'm trying to become a knowledgeable and safe gun owner. Thanks! |

Gonna be moving to the Prince Georges county area in the next month or two.. I know the area, I lived in Northern Virginia for 3 years up until 6 months ago when I had to leave the area for a little. I do not want to live in MD at all but this is the best I can do until I get back up on my feet. Anyone have any links to certain gun laws I should know?
