Mag Pouches etc - AR15.COM

So...I've been looking for some good quailty mag pouches for AR mags and been drawing blanks with everything I have looked at online.
Who'd think getting the right ones would seem to be so difficult.
I have been looking for some open topped ones (without the flap) for reasons of accessability and speed etc.
After looking at the Maxpedition, 5.11 and Blackhawk offerings, and not really being able to find any UK dealers with the ones I wanted, I came across a place called www.uktactical.com and lo and behold, they had exactly what I was looking for
Here they are

They're made by a company called Warrior Assault Systems who appear to be a British company, and that's always good as it's nice to see some home grown talent stepping up and finally making some quality kit.
They have plenty of nice stuff on their site and it is all reasonably priced.

The pouches are made from heavy duty 1000 denier cordura with Molle fittings and 4x fastening straps on the back.
These can be configured to fit on webbing or adjusted to fit a belt, which is what I was looking for.
I have tried them with 3 PMAG's and they retain the mags very snugly, yet are easy to remove and insert.
They have a bungee retainer cord at the top, but to be honest for our needs this isn't necessary and can be untied and removed of you wish.
This is what I will be doing.

All in all, a very good and useful product, well made and readonably priced.
To be recommended

They are these ones:

I liked the fact that they had a velcro flap on them as it means that you can open/close the pouch easily (even whilst wearing gloves) and therefore not lose mags when standing up from prone for the run down!

I also bought the 5.11 belt to mount them on.

So far I have to say that I am very pleased with my purchases. I used them at the mini rifle at WNSC and found them to be very good. What's more; Ian - the guy that runs http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/ is very friendly and the prices are pretty competitive

Mine have more than enough retention without having the flap in the way

It's nice to have the option to wear them. Due to the damage that I have inflicted to my hands over the years; it is the only part of me that really feels the cold - so yes!
