Now Clayo, just for you [scouse accent] calm down, calm down [/scouse accent] Mark |
I bet he'll be glad to get back down home............ away from all us heathens!
Can someone tell me exactly why those stocks are good?
I think they look gash, like a robocop cast-off. Mind, liking the standard M4 stock does have financial benefits!! |
Maybe you all love it because of the length, it's long aint it....
it is a little longer than th standard stock but its RIGID!!!!! SOLID!!! with no movement whatsoever,
The mount is actually the standard 30mm rings but the upper reciever has a higher mount base, i think its the DPMS highrise reciever, ideal for scoped use, James, |
Got a high top receiver myself, experimenting with different mounts tells me that I need the scope much further forward (about flush with the rear charging handle). MB has am extended scope rail that I am going to try out..............
What would you know dave....you're gay Remember folks...I was 1st Mark |
Nice stock James I'm at the club from 6 o'clock onwards tonight, so if your coming i think you shoul bring you AR with you Steve. |
It's for the über Tactical look Apparently it's 'rigid'… but so is a standard el cheapo A2 stock ANdy |
This is true… Ranger plates, Surefires, fore end pistol grips, lasers, Aimpoints all look gucchi and very tactical, especially in you can't see me green. |
I'M BACK and here's another funny pic. Don't know what I'm gonna do with it yet, but I might just ADD IT TO CLAYO'S RECEIVER!!!!! |

Is this gonna be the barrel that travels the UK ...Brighton/London etc and we get to see pics of it doing the UK tour? I'd like to see the barrel visit Wales....Museum of welsh life St Fagans Awaits pic Taffy |
On a more serious note Matt
I notice you shooting surplus ammo....do you ever have extraction problems after shooting a few rounds? My reloads are great to extract and with a clean rifle surplus ammo extracts fine but after about 50-60 rounds the surplus ammo becomes difficult to extract Is yours 5.56 or .223 Curious Taffy |
My little bushmaster is so old that it is probably a 243 by now. (most likely 5.56, I bought if 'nearly-new' off a guy giving up shooting many years ago. Seriously, it has always shot RG well, it scored a 663x800 yesterday with fat iron sights and no sling, on the second 600 string it scored 90% (the 1st string was nearer 70%). Just lucky I guess. None of my other ARs shoot RG as well, but then I don't ask them to or expect it. Right ammo choice for the gun/type of shooting. It will occationally get stiff after 40-50 rounds of very rapid fire, but not always (but then so do I). On one occation and a family outing to the range we managed to get over 200 rounds through it in about 10 minutes. It got so hot that the moderator bush melted! Streetfighter was there with his carbine and didn't have anyextraction problems either. But then the reason I took the carbine and shot RG was that I got back from Cumbria late on Friday and couldn't be bothered to reload any, and I didn't have enough ammo for the match. Circumstances! ETA: I mentioned that the rifle shot well, it had |

I personally would like to see the barrel and all its friends ( upper, lower, stock, mag etc... ) take a trip to liverpool to see me !!!! Steve |
Oh Well, spoke to Matt today, should have my new toy by wed/thur ish, CANY WAIT.
I'm at my brothers at the mo, very drunk, everyones goneto bed and i'm here on his comp listening to the floyd ( comfortably numb second guitar solo (class ) ). Anyone out there? Steve. I'll still be here into the early hours ( beer rocks !! ) E.T.A Target hunter, i know it was your idea to tease me with pics of my barrel |
Welcome to the world of (nearly) AR ownership! Once you joint the 'club' you have free rein to take the pi** out of any other owner (or nearly owner), and are free to start any 'My <Insert AR part here> is better than yours' discussion! (I regularly get stick for only having 2.5 ARs...) |

I'm expecting pics to be posted today of the finished article !

Matt
Hows it going, did you get it sorted and is it en-route ? Steve E.T.A. ignore this, i just got your i.m. is it on 24hr ( meaning will it get to the shop thur ) ? |
Oh i feel a bit emotional, she's beautiful !!!! I feel like a new father. Whoopie. Steve |
OI Taff, NOOOOOOOOO !
I knew it, someone would try to get there hands on my baby. She's mine, all mine. |
OK Taffy, No, I couldn't do that to Clayo. Scousers have already lost Owen this week, I'm afraid that if they lost something else so soon, there may be trouble. |
he he !!
We could say Clayo that you've been gunzumped I hope we get to see some pics of you shooting it too Welcome to "The" Club Taffy |
Or, in the spirit of Liverpool right now, why not give the rifle to me, as I'm from Newcastle...
If you send that rifle to Liverpool, the next time you see it, it'll be up on bricks, burned out and the pistol grip'll be missing
