So, what are your opinions of MGO? Is it really a gun rights organization or just a run of the mill message board?
I believe it is just a message board. They really do nothing for gun rights in Michigan, but what do you think?

I know the President or whatever he was stepped down from there recently. I don't visit there a ton but there are decent people on there it seems.

Sounds like an organization, and not just some forum, to me.
I picked up one of their pamphlets at the constitutional carry rally a couple weeks ago which covered a little bit on this topic. Not sure where I put that thing though.

Hah! Sure seems like it, although I have done a few successful deals on there.

I am curious, too. What does the MGO actually do? I don't get out much, but, if they were up to something, I'd have heard about it.

They do support several court cases financially, so I'd say both. The moderation is getting ridiculous though.

I used to participate over there more, but I'm sick of having my posts edited or deleted by intellectual lightweights enforcing moronic policies. The For Sale forums are useful though.

eh, political or not, I don't care. I use the sight relatively regularly to buy/sell/trade. Just like here and elsewhere, some people think their guns are special and worth 2x MSRP, some are normal people and realize they aren't. Not too different than any other gun board in that regard.

They were at the constitutional carry rally but did not organize it.

The TallBear guy does a pretty good job at watching legislation in the legislative section.

I use the forum to drum up support for various bills.

I have not seen them out in the real world other than at the constitutional carry rally. I still don't know what the riff was between them and MCRGO.

This. I've been a member there since 06 and the moderation lately has been an absolute joke. You can never get help from the leadership when it comes to trying to some good (ie writing form letters, newsletter, ect) but make a mistake on the message board and they're all over your ass. It's a shame.

MGO is nothing more then a forum. But they will tell you differently. Market place is worth while. You can find a $600 used Glock if you need one. Outside of that, it is infested with newbie cpl licensee's and professional know it all's.
