I purposely avoid MD where I used to drive through it taking the 95-495-270-70 way "home" to Central Pa from Va. Now, instead of going that way and stopping at least once in MD, I go through Winchester, Va and cross MD on 522. I think I am in MD for 2 miles or less. |

Since they won't issue to their own residents, it seems unlikely they'll extend the privilege to anyone else.

Per the VCDL alert, I just contacted all the MD reps and got this reply from one of them:
Thank you for contacting my office regarding HB 9. I am a co-signer of this bill and have been a longtime supporter of Gun Rights in Maryland. I will continue to support this, and all other pro 2nd Amendment legislation as long as I am elected to serve in my office.

If every person that smiled as they passed our VCDL table at the Hampton show this weekend saying "I'm a member already"...would email the Maryland committee as recommended, we could make as big a difference as we've made here in VA with our own house of delegates and Senate.

So the 5 people who have real Maryland carry permits will be able to carry in VA too if this passed?
Somehow I don't see this happening, if nothing else because they won't even let their own citizens carry concealed. Why would they let us Yahoo, gunshow loophole, Virginians carry there? |
