Hey, I'm applying for my first class A LTC (mass resident) and I'm not sure if I will get it or not. I did notice that my check for 100 dollars had cleared (deposited by the town). Does this mean anything positive? Does it suggest a timeframe?
Thank you

You pay for the "application", NOT for the license. Thus, if a town is efficient, they cash the check almost immediately. Not related to process.

There is a ton of info that a lawyer, myself and other contributed to on the LTC process in MA both for Residents (Subjects) and Non-Residents in a few "sticky" threads on another forum focused specifically to the shooting sports in the Northeast. Check out and register on northeastshooters.com . . . Look in the Gun Laws forum and you should find more info than you'll need.

Good luck.

i believe that as long as there is nothing on your record, you will get it.  as far as the all lawfull purposes go, that depends on the chief.  check out Packing.org.  both northeast and packing are good places to get info.  hope that helps.
