Found a couple 20rnd M14 mags in some old boxes in dads basement.  One has a M marked on the side with a line over the top of it and a hash mark through one of the "V" of the M stamp.  From what I can find on line this is one of the first and rarest Mathewson tool co.  Mags designed by John Garand.  But thats all I can find.  Any more info and especially value would be much appreciated.

That marking is for the Atwood Vacuum Machine Company. Based out of Rockford, IL, they manufactured magazines for Springfield Armory in 1961.

To tell the truth, I don't really know what it would be worth as a collectible. If it's in good shape, it should be worth $20-30 as a functional mag, built to USGI specs.
