You might find this interesting -- I did a quick search on the boards for M14 DCM in the subject and did not find anything, so I apologize if it is a dupe.

It's not gonna happen but I signed it anyway a few years ago. This has been kicked around for a long time.

2 reasons why this will not/ can not happen:

1) the M14 is classified as a select fire weapon even if the selctor is not present
2) the US Military is currently using them
