Well, how did everyone do at the show?

I got three magpuls for $7.50, two firing pin retaining pins for $1, 10 green followers for $10, and 10 30-round mag springs for $20 all from DPMS. Found some decent 7.62R ammo for $3 per 20. Also picked up an M-16A2/M-4 tech. manual for $6.

DPMS really had good prices on everything, they were selling Carbon-15s (with sights and a sling that appeared to be a Giles Sling) for $650.

I thought it was a good show. Who else has an opinion?

P.S. Did anyone else see the ARMS #38 for $90 at the "Defensive Edge","Defensive Tactics" or whatever their name is table???? Guy at the table thought it was new. I almost bought it but I want an extended one. Would have been good trading material though.

I picked up some camping equipment. Some range brass ($20/500rds 45acp) some 45acp 230gr plated bullets and lots of local biz cards.

It is only at the spring and fall shows that the local biz' with good wares bother to show...

ALOT of pure junk was being peddled.

Lately, alot of gun shows have been more junk shows than where folks can find quality firearms. I hope the trend is short lived.

But, there were still deals to be had. ;)

I bought some Korean M2 30.06 ball ammo for the Garand. $6 a box is decent.

I was also tempted by a Norinco 1897 Trenchbroom copy. :( $400 some odd dollars I don't have though.

Saw a M1 Garand that was s/n 4815. :O

I picked up some of the followers, some wolf .223, some spare springs from DPMS, and I let a nice Norinco .45 slip through my hands. I double clutched and went back and it was gone. It went for 310.00. DOh!

FYI, if you still want one, but don't want to deal with gunshow BS, you could always order one from here:
www.southernohiogun.com/products.html
(Scroll down a little)
They sell them for $329.95, and sell the Bayonets for $69.95... The total cost is about $400, add to that the $20 or so to transfer through DSSPRO, and you're all set. For $420 you'll have this:

I hope everyone else had a fun time at the show. I had tons of drafting projects to work on, and missed it.

Two AK receivers.

Fifteen AK waffle mags.

About a dozen misc. parts (springs, pins, etc.) from DPMS.

Sucked that they weren't selling beer at the show.
