Ray was a hero, a good friend, and put service to others first in everything he did. His life will not soon be forgotten, and I'm thankful for having the chance to know this man and others of his generation. He served for decades with the volunteer fire company, saved a woman's life while in Italy, and served his nation in a time of war.

Link has pictures of the send off we gave him.

Firefighter's Send off

In my line of work I lay men and women to rest everyday, and it is never easy, but losing Ray is not something I think any of his friends or family was prepared for. He lived a great life and I'll never forget him

I am sorry to hear about the passing of your friend.

From what I saw, he is a good man that will be missed.

I thank him for his service to our country both in the military and as a Firefighter.
