As fuel prices rise, so do thefts of gas
More than $500 in gasoline is siphoned from vehicles in north Everett.

Of course, if the meth-heads steal "gas" from my truck I'd imagine they will leave a trail of smoke.

ETA: "i" before "e" except after "c"

My Aerostar cost $65 to fill up this weekend, and that wasn't from E.

that is a damn good point, The theft level may be the same it has been for years, Just the cost of the item stolen going up is what made it noticeable to those that want to bring attention to it.....

Would Leaded gasoline cause an awful lot of pollution with all them bodies lying around ?

BTW it costs $100 to fill the diesel suburban, this last trip to SoCal was only budgeted for $400 in fuel and it cost $800, somebody else want to organize 31FF next ?

My friend parked in a business park near North Creek (where he works) while out of town for a day or too. When he got back, he barely had enough gas to get home. He had just filled up.

Already tried that for my truck...

I work for a community center in Tumwater; we had gas siphoned from our van, 3 tents stolen, and a bunch of other crap happen to us in the last four months.

This incident happened a few years ago but it's funny as hell. Some dude tried to siphon gas out of a motor home. He thought he put the hose in the gas tank but put it in the waste tank by mistake and started sucking on the hose. Needless to say you don't have to be a rocket scientist to guess how it ended! The dude puked his guts out all over the place!
