My brother lives the Phoenix, area and is looking to put together his first AR.

Can anyone suggest a gun shop in the area where he can pick up a stripped lower?

Any idea which manufactures they carry?

Thanks in advance,

Gene

Shooters World carries all the major brands, its on the I-17 and Indian School. But there is a great company that makes high end lowers for only 85 bucks just outside of town call AGP arms, I think everyone in the AZ HTF now owns 1-20 of them. They are in Tempe right off of the 202 and Mcclintock which is only about a 20 minute drive from Phoenix.

AGP is definitely the official receiver of the AZ HTF.

Just picked up 2 last week. Just call ahead to check availability because they sell out quickly at $90. He could do custom serialization too for $120

ETA: the shop is on the backside FYI.

Hey if you are driving down there be aware that the shops name is AGP TURBO and not AGP ARMS. It through me off for a second when I made the trip, I had to do a double take.

And as noted above, the shop is on the back side of the little complex of offices First time I GPS'd my way there it took me to the front building and I had to go in a few places before someone knew what I was looking for

Advanced Garage Products builds turbochargers. He's been doing that since 2003. The subdivision he's in is actually light industrial. Since he has the equipment to build turbos, he also can finish forged lowers and that's what he's been doing for a while also. Anyone with a CNC can churn out lowers once you have a manufacturer FFL. But his lowers are really damn nice (he's got an EDM, too). Maybe they are damn nice because he can build turbochargers, which are a little more difficult than lowers. In any case, they're good shit.
