The gayest part about Bristol:
Centerfire rifles – Single Load Only.
If you wish to check for proper magazine function, ask a range officer for assistance
No thanks
Bristol seems like a nice club, trying to root out the unsafe idiots but;
unfortunately, what has turned me away from this club, that is relatively close to me, is just those rules.
If they don't want rapid fire, just say so, and let people know up front, that it won't be allowed, or tolerated.
It says five shots for handguns too.
That's not realistic with a six shot revolver, or a "high capacity" .22lr revolver.
I understand that they don't want to have anyone there without range supervision, but you would think that they could have members prove they are responsible, and then be able to shoot on their own, at their own risk, on days other than the very busy Friday through Sunday period. A lot of shooters want that peace and quiet, on a range that isn't crowded, so they can concentrate on sighting in, or serious target shooting without distraction.
