Their first attempt at liquid cooled engines was far from perfect. I would suggest selling it and invest the money in either a 997 or go back to a 993 with the oil cooled engine. The non-DFI 997.1's have gone down in price and have far fewer problems than the 996's, especially pre-02 (I would run from one of those). The front end of the 996 are also a bit.....odd.

Not my car, not my money, car was purchased without consulting me. Also there's a big step up in money if you get outside of a 996. |
