[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Local 1911 smiths?

I picked up a Delta Elite with a Briley 9x25mm conversion at Monroe Saturday. I can get another barrel from them to return it to 10mm, but it will need to be fitted by a smith.

Is there a good, local 1911 smith that anyone can recommend?

What is local? I know of one I have used in the Olympia area.

I called Briley, and they said they did have ramped 10mm barrels that can be swapped. It's a match grade that would have to be fitted by a smith. $180 for the barrel, and $125-150 for the work.

Oly also said they should be able do the work if I provided the barrel.
