October 30, 2003
Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding HB 12, the proposed CCW or concealed-carry legislation. I always benefit from hearing the opinions of my constituents, and I appreciate you taking the time to contact me.
Although HB 12 passed the Ohio Senate on June 18, 2003, it did not pass concurrence in the Ohio House. HB 12 would then typically be heard in a Conference Committee, a small group of legislators from both chambers, which would then be charged with the mission of creating a bill that both houses can agree upon. As you know, this process has not begun for HB 12, however, and there is some question about when it may. I would recommend that you share your concerns with the President of the Senate, Senator Doug White. Senator White can be reached at:

Once again, thank you for your letter and for your interest in the legislative process. I appreciate any and all feedback from my constituents regarding current legislation. If I can be of assistance to you at any time, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Send your letters and email to Doug White firstname.lastname@example.org
