So what, you guys were shooting over here in WA? Good on ya for takin' her out to shoot. Might want to get on her about the stance, and all though. I know, first things first.

Thannks for the hot link....Naw, we were at Brown's camp in Oregon. I have friends North of the river and thought I would hang out here in the WA forum since I'm thinking about moving up here. Yeah, the stance was actually my fault....she shoots Lefty and I told her to put eh rifle on her right arm. Duh.

I mean the whole bending back thing too. You'll get here "there" though, as time goes by. It is cool to just have here out there, getting into it, for sure.

Well move on up here then, damnit! I do remember you posting that possibility a while back.

And if you're gonna hang out here, by all means ignore Spankybear.

If you can before you go back out show her the right way and then when you are shooting again stick with it. Don't let poor form become a habit.

Quoted for truth. My wife tended to do that when she first started shooting. Gotta get the bad habits un-learned early on though. That whole muscle-memory thing.

Here's to hoping for some BOTD pics!!

Looks like a good pit to shoot at. Glad you guys had fun.

Is it about 400 yards deep?

Needs work on her form, but great job on getting her some carbine time!

The stance isn't quite as bad as one I saw a few years ago at the Oly Day at the range...

Right hand shooter, using the left shoulder. Nono, wait. She was still holding the rifle in a righ hander's stance, just using the left shoulder.

Go ahead, grab a rifle and try it. Yea, it was odd.

Looks like the ORHTF should organize a range clean-up day there and haul out a few loads.
