anyone know a place to get good custom sized leather gloves for shooting??

i would like to get a pair made to fit my hands exactly.

willing to spend some money.

Not custom, but many golf or batting gloves might work for you.  Some of the better ones come in several sizes other than S, M, L, XL.  You can get them in black which might look better on the range than wearing white gloves.

Franklin (the batting glove company) makes these, they fit me really well.

They aren't leather but they are pretty durable and the palm is chemical resistant.  They are the best shooting gloves I've found so far.

ETA: I'm not sure what the palm is made of, maybe some kind of treated leather or something else.  Whatever it is, it stood up to splitting and stacking splintery firewood.

i suppose i could try batting glove or some of those Franklins.   i will just swing by a sporting goods store and see how they feel.

having them Black is kinda important though.

I've seen and owned black golf gloves before, the ones i had were cool weather gloves, in left and right hand, normally I'd buy one golf glove, but for cooler weather, 2 makes sense, and since there are rt/lt handed golfers, you should be able to find both styles.... may have the best luck at some of the bigger golf stores or a dick's sporting goods or something, somwhere w/ a lot of stock/sizes/options...

I never thought about using shooting gloves at all before, but I think I might look into it. Interesting thread....
