And from the "didn't work out" files, I have a DPMS low profile flat top upper I don't "need" anymore.

I'll be bringing it to the Fun Show on Saturday. (hint)

i heard bad stuff about Ti pins.  Ti is actually brittle.

Yup.... Ti firing pins were a solution to a non-existent problem. The concern being that a regular firing pin, being free floating might set off a light primer simply from dropping the rifle or even with the forward force of the bolt closing on a new round.

I have never had an issue of it happening and you are right... Ti is brittle and will need to be replaced more often than a standard firing pin (I have a standard pin that is still going strong after 15,000 rounds).

Some also argue that a Ti firing pin allows for a faster "lock time".
