Damn,

Talk about beating the odds.

Just making it to 110 is a pretty big achievement.  Living through WWI and as a prisoner of the Japanese in WWII for 3 1/2 years?

I'm proud to say  that Frank Buckles is a friend and Brother of mine. I've had the pleasure of his company
many times. He's a very humble man.

I too have had the pleasure of meeting Cpl Buckles, he lives just a few miles up the road from me.  Awsome individual.  I am hoping that they will do him like they did the last Civil War Vet.  Make him a general, to me he is!  Even if he was not the last WW I vet, he is still one interesting person.
