Who's going April 7th 8th and 9th? I think I will head down and be there Friday morning, it would be fun to meet up with some AR15.comers, maybe a caravan of some sort?
Gonna try to make it down there with Tiger_184 all the way from Purdue.
Well if I go it'll be a one day type of deal go down for a bit hit louisville that night with some of the guys and go home or crash at a friends pending what condition I'm in.
Camping. Will arrive Thursday Morning and leave Sunday afternoon. Supposed to be several others from the Lafayette area going with us.
I always thought that camping there and making a weekend out of it would be great fun.....just might have to do that. |
I'm sure that I'll be there Saturday, April 8, one way or another.
Road trip again? |
Heck yeah. It's much easier being a passenger. |
We all have to wear our Team Indiana AR15.com T shirts so we can find one another. Camping sounds like a good idea, it's either that or a hotel room.
Too bad it's in Kentucky....I just feel so dirty after being in Kentucky..
After the dust cloud that we were in down there, I felt dirty too!
I'm tentatively planning on going, not positive right now. I told dad about it and he thought it sounded cool, but I doubt he's gonna come up for it. So, I might be up for a carpool again. Let me qualify that with "if we leave later so we can stay for the night shoot". |
I was thinking that, too, unless Troy @ InRange puts on an ARFcom meet/greet/shoot in the morning. |
Oh hell yes, I'm not leaving till after the night shoot, what else is there?
And these are for purchase where? |
I'll be there!!! I hope to unveil my new 45caliber AR recievers that weekend.http://http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/4214/picture0014cy.jpg" border=0>

You mean an Indiana Arfcom shirt? Here. Also available as sweatshirts and pocket Ts in fewer colors. I'm trying to get my dad to go, but spring books up fast. Neither of us has been there before. If he can't make it I might be interested in one of the carpools. |
I'm trying to get a couple buddies to go, but , it's looking like I'll be making a solo trip. Either way, I'm going.
DSA had a booth babe last time. I think I saw M4Madness drooling.
Depends on whether M4Madness gets Jenny hung up on CIII or not!
We have several people planning on camping again.
We will get there on Thursday about noon and leave sunday afternoon. Usually set up to the right of the road shortly after you pass the checkin shack. Will have a cooler full of cold ones. Look for the Applied Ballistics Systems sign. |
<<<<<<Doesn't get it?

It wasn't bad enough to require a bib, but close.
I'm always available to help someone enhance their full-auto collection. |
I'd yell out you if I saw you, but you'd just keep on walking like you didn't hear me. Do you know if ViperEH is going? |
Damn! This sounds like a blast! I just drove past Knob coming back from Nashville last night. I was planning on shooting Sat. morning in Crawfordsville, maybe I should have planned on a trip back down to Knob! How long of a drive is it from Indy?
Not too bad at all. Shooter521 and some of the others come down I-65 and claim it is pretty quick. I'm sure he'll chime in soon with the exact timeline. |
We'll come coming down I-65 as well, seems like the best route. Are any of you guys going to wear AR15.com shirts? I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the goofing looking bastard in the black AR15.com hooded sweatshirt with a tan Maxpedition fatboy around my chest and Nike hat, If I'm close to machinegun fire just look for the guy with the nipples poking out.
Thanks for the reply! I'm not going to be able to make it this weekend(works got my nuts bound), but maybe next time I'll join you all for some black rifle blastin'.
I will be there all day Saturday. I will be on the red 4X4 golf cart with a bed on back. It will be parked by the ticket booth.
As for drive time from Indy, it is around 2 1/2 hours depending on speed & traffic. |
Yesterday (Friday) was awesome. The weather was sunny and warm, and the crowd was not too bad. Today, the weather doesn't look like it is going to be as cooperative, but we're going back down anyways.
Well, we survived another trip to Knob Creek.
The lower grassy parking area was a mud pit, and we saw quite a few vehicles get hung up. There seemed to be more people there yesterday than in past shoots. There were a few good deals to be found, and I actually found the one scarce item (Benelli M4 pistol grip stock) that I had on my shopping list for an excellent price. We didn't really spend any time behind the main firing line until the night shoot. A couple of passes through the gun show occupied our time until then. Then it was time for the flame throwers and tracer fire. |
I found a few deals. One booth was selling 1,000 rounds of .357 Sig for $80. I saw a guy carrying a Browning 1919 on his shoulder that said "semi auto $500" I tried to catch up with him but couldn't catch him.
I have a solid pistol grip M4 stock (like the M1) if anyone needs one ($50 shipped). I have the collapsible on mine & do no need it. |
The worse thing about "Official Knob Creek Mud" is that everybody who's ever been there recognizes the color instantly ..... especially your wife! |
Go ahead and rub it in, man. Guys, I saw a particular item for sale there, but for some reason I spaced it out and didn't ask about it. I went back 10 minutes later and it was gone. The vendor had just sold the $210 item for $40. I was sick. |
I bought some mags.
I can't believe someone stoled an M60 off one of the dealers tables. I talked to a guy this morning at my hotel who was a vender there and he said that they never caught the guy or recovered the gun.
On a plus note I got to talk to Micheal Bane from Shooting Gallery for about 15 min. he's a hell of a nice guy. |
M4Madness------is that what gave you the headache and made you nauseous on the way home? |
I heard a few people mention that. We saw a guy with an M60 walking out as we were going in on Saturday, was that when it was stolen?
The stolen M60 was an E3 model; the one we saw was in the original configuration. |
If I remember right it was around 2:00 - 2:30 on Saturday. The announced it on the PA,
I heard some one stole a Sterling on Friday. |
