Will the FDCC shoot go on rain or shine?

I have been trying to shoot since I moved to GA over a month with no luck.  I got 2 new AR's that I haven't gotten a chance to shoot and was really looking forward to Sunday.

Mine are dry, I'm ashamed to admit.  But it's so damn tempting to fill my boat with my stored $1.50 gas than the almost 3 buck stuff at the pump.

I knew I'd have to refill eventually, I was just hoping to catch a good dip in prices...

how long are you storing gas for...I can't remember the last time it was  $ 1.50 a gal...that stuff vulcanizes ( sp ) after about 8 months and starts to turn varnish at 13 months even with stabilizer stuff in there

I musta fell asleep of something.  coulda swore yesterday on the news this thing was supposed to be making landfall right about..... now as a weak tropical storm.

Now its still ofshore and theres hurricane warnings?  the hell?

Im set for the worst, but the parking lot at home depot was mostly empty earlier so i guess we're at leats 3 hours from landfall..

The last one I used up, in July, was from 12/03.  So it was about a year and a half old.  I ran it in my boat's Mercruiser with no problems.  I keep gas in Swiss Jerry cans with Pri-G added.

Just in case any of you need plywood. Try a roofing supply place. There is one in Pompano off Blount road just behind the gas station. Firt right.

They have plenty of plywood, no lines no waiting.

Most my windows are storm windows now except for one.

Normally I prepare to the side that will hit nut it looke like we are getting a direct hit. Shouldnt be bac but my neighbors have all kinds of crap in their yard.

What happened to us is nothing compared to that is gong to happen to the gulf states... Cat 5 @ 160mph with extremely warm water ahead of it and a pressure that's already way lower than what Andrew’s was... God help them

HEY! Those damn Cars are nothing but Tree Magnets in a storm. A tree could have a huge wedge on the left side cut out and STILL would fall on the damn car to the right of it...

Damn trees

lost power late thursday night & didn't get it back until late Sunday.  No damage to the house or property; just a few limbs broken off trees.  A few neighbors & I went around the neighborhood to help out if needed (there are a few elderly people), but everyone was fine for the most part.  One guy lost a huge ficus tree in his front yard, and it tore down the power lines and uprooted & broke his sewer pipe but the tree missed houses, cars, etc.

But being without power & A/C started to suck by noon, so the family & I moved onto the inlaws' boat and stayed there all weekend with air conditioning, hot showers, satellite TV, etc.  This was the laziest weekend I've had in years.  I just lounged, read, watched movies, and ate.  The only "work" I did over the weekend was help a guy in the marina get his bilge pump working to keep his boat from sinking.  Nothing like a hurricane to remind you about preventive maintenance....
