Just pack your truck full of your guns and ammo and head to Gunstock for some shooting.
If you didn't want to spend the whole weekend at Gunstock, just come out for the day on Saturday or Sunday. You'll have a great time. Where else could you buy an AR15/AK47 or other guns and walk right outside to shoot it. Its a gunshow and a shooting event.

It boggles the mind to think there are TEXANS who live within a 3 hours drive of where this event will be held, who will read these words, and NOT travel to Waco.
 What are you afraid of? That someone might offer you a cold drink and a plate of BBQ, or for heavens sake, a loaded 30 rnd mag and a MP5SD and tell you, "Here Bud, shoot this and tell me what you think of this suppressed sub-machinegun."? Oh, the HORROR!  I never thought I'd see the day a TEXAN would be afraid to eat some BBQ and do a little bit of shooting... Especially TEXANS who post on AR15.COM.

Like I said, I MOVED to Texas just so I wouldn't have to travel as far this year!
 PE and I are headed up this evening. What time are you heading up Mr. Peacher? Maybe we could meet for dinner then caravan up. |

82ndAbn is going to be there tonight as well. I plan to leave work at 1500, pack up the truck and be on the road by 1700. I could use a hand loading the smoker into the truck... |

Hmmm... I think we're leaving later than that. I was planning on taking the day off, but the boss is gone and one of our other developers left (moved back to CA, dumbass), so I'm doing work for three people today.
PE's picking me up at 4pm from work, then I still need to pack all my products in the truck before we head out. We probably won't be on the road until 6-7pm. |

Well, that schedule sounds reasonable to me, my plans are not set in stone. I could use the extra time to get a few items at the package store.
 Maybe we should coordinate with 82nd and have a late dinner in Waco???

Here is Tiger Valley's website... www.tigervalley.com/tv_south.php  From Interstate 35 Exit 339 (Lake Waco / Lake Shore Drive exit), take Loop 340 eastward to HWY 84 (approximately 1 mile). *MAP* Proceed on HWY 84 East approximately 13 miles to Watt (sign on both sides of post on right). Continue to the top of the next rise. The main gate is on the left between two modular homes (behind the cell phone antenna). The range is to the west of LCR 126 (Joe Russell Road). Christmas Creek is approximately .3 mile east of the range. Eastbound - 2.4 miles from flashing caution light at Highway 84 & FM939 to main entrance on north side of highway. Westbound - 2.8 miles from Mobil station at Prairie Hill.   |

 I gotta leave in the morning. I've got some business to take care of with the coin project and I have to restock a few things for my medic bag (working medical contingency). Sucks. But I'm going to leave as early as I can in the AM. Enjoy dinner! |

I am leaving in the morning as well. My wifes B-day is tonight. Even though I prepped her
for me leaving tonight, she thought I was kidding. Needless to say when she thought I really was leaving, since all my gear is ready, she got a little teary eyed, so I quickly said I was kidding and leaving in the morning.  Anyway, I'll get a hot meal, warm bed and a warm body for the night. I'll see you guys down there by 9 am.

I wasn't planning on going because I had made plans to hang out at a freind's place this weekend out near Schulenberg and hit the Shiner concert thingy, but my plans fell through. I think fate is trying to tell me I need to make a last minute unplanned trip to Gunstock. If you see a dirty beat-up black '99 T/A blowing down the highway at ~120 on your way to gunstock, try not to hog my fast lane |
