There is the Spring Hill Meat Market, I have never been there.  I am fortunate in the fact that I get fresh beef from my family.

I don't know about Gardner, but Steve's Meat Market in De Soto is hard to beat. I buy a lot of ribs there for smoking. Last time I bought ground round there, I asked if it was fresh. The reply was "It was mooing yesterday!"

Steve's is on Lexington (old 10 hiway) near downtown. You can cut through on Moolight road to Kill Creek from Gardner. Is is a pretty quick drive that way.
