I went and shot a round there yesterday and I am really considering buying a membership. I enjoyed it alot and really liked the layout. I have shot at Noontootla before but they don't offer any kind of membership and it is about the same drive to either place. I saw on the website where it said you could buy shells at current market cost. Does that mean you get a discount from what the public can come in there and buy them for. The prices don't vary a whole lot by having a membership on a round of clays so it seems that would have to be the case for it to be worth it to buy the membership. I am just wanting any input from anyone who shoots there alot or is a member.

Not a member as I thought the math only works if you hit it 20+ times in year one and Mondays are your day off.

Richard told me it was 7 but I coudn't make the math to come out that way myself so I wanted someone elses feelings on it. I am off on Thursday not Monday but I could possibly take a few mondays a year and run over there. I just was trying to see if it was worth it. The first year would probably be a loss because of the aquisition fee but I think the second year would be where your money was made.

I used to be a very active sporting clays shooter before work got in the way. You may want to consider not joining a specific club but rather visiting many clubs. Half the fun of sporting clays is the social event of meeting up with a group of fellow shooters and then visiting multiple clubs. I lived in Macon and traveled all over the state shooting clays (I recently moved to Canton).

The Social Shooting Club is a GA clays group that travels all over the state shooting clays.

By the way, I never buy shells at a club - I found that I would buy on sale at Dicks or buy multiple flats at the Dove season sales. I used to reload shells but with the increased cost of components, I did not see the big costs savings.
