ss109 made by Hotshot

And furthermore, has anyone shot any American Ammo manufactured out of Miami? My extractor ripped the casing ridge off of one of their shells yesterday... scary.

Well, I didn't know that the American Ammo was bad. This SS109 is 'Hotshot.' I was thinking $3.50 was a steal on M855, guess I was wrong.

So I guess $3.50/20 = ~.19 per round does sound good. It looked/shot like pretty legit ammo. You could tell a difference in recoil and damage from the regualr 55 gr that I shoot.

Hot Shot is Bosnian. I don't know much about it, though. I'll just stick with the Israeli stuff (IMI M855) as it's been killing Palestinians just fine for quite a while.

Hotshot is just the Century commercial brand for ammo coming out of the Bosnian Military plant where Hansen used to import their stuff from back in the 80's. It's typical of SS109 type accuracy. I've gone through several cases without any problems. For what it's worth, the Hansen Yugo ammo was always highly thought of. You can order the stuff from Ceturyarms.com for like $180 a case.

If you're looking for plinking ammo, there is much cheaper to be had. If you insist on having 62 grn. check out the Russian Silver Bear line. It runs about $110 plus shipping from Aimsurplus and it's zinc plated so it won't beat your extractor. It's not any dirtier than Winchester value pack either. Just don't expect to shoot MOA groups with it.
