I heard someone say on WJR 760, last week,  that Synder is going to place taxes on retirement payments close to the state income levels of 4%. Guess they don't pay anything now.

Anyone here about this?

Any more taxes coming?

I thought the decision to raise taxes mainly fell on our legislature? The Gov then signs the bill into law or not? So, the decision to raise taxes doesnt fall on his shoulders alone. Yes, he can veto it or not, but dont forget all the other elected officials that have a hand in it. Grandholm takes alot of well deserved heat for the States situtation, but she wasnt in it alone. Every elected rep had a hand in it. Grandholm just did nothing to spark interest in this state from corporations nor rally the legislature to make the right decisions.
