I'm possibly moving to Evergreen in '06 and want to know whether or not the Jefferson County Sheriff is still Machinegun/Suppressor/SBR friendly.  Thanks for any insight.  Can't wait to get back to Colorado after my 3-year "vacation" behind enemy lines in Seattle.

Mr .....,,

JCSO will review and process your application as long as you are a
county resident. Keep in mind the BATF & E form 4 does not provide any
contact information for you (buyer), so attach a letter with your date
of birth, address and phone number.

A background investigation will be done, so please make sure the
application is complete and accurate, including specific information as
to the make, model, caliber and serial number of each.

BATF & E requires two original copies for each application.

The application packet needs to be sent to the JCSO Intelligence Unit
located at 200 Jefferson County Parkway Golden, CO 80401.

Sorry guys,  while I was doing the research to into this my funds ran dry and I did not persue it any further.  All indications were that he wouild sign.

The current Jefferson County Sheriff is Class III friendly from all the information I found.  The Email I received is straight from the horses mouth.  (Jeffco Sherrifs Department).  It is however approximately a year old so I am not going to go out on a limb and say it is current info, however there have been no changes in the Jeffco Sheriff's departments personnel that would imply a change to the policy.
