For anyone living in Story Co. I emailed the Republican candidate  for Sheriff--Terry Stark and asked for his opinion on issuing concealed carry permits and a change to Iowa laws(http://www.webspawner.com/users/ccw4iowacodechange/index.html) that would take away any discrimination in issuing these permits. His response (in part)was,"I would support the change in statute to bring about more consistency and fairness across the state.I would have no problem issuing a permit to those meeting the set criteria under the Iowa code.Law abiding citizens should not be punished more than the criminals who break the law regardless  of any statutes that are in place."
I wish all candidates felt this way.Guess whom I will vote for?

Hey thanks for posting that information.  I was wondering how Stark stood on CCW.  I know who is getting my vote now.

You have friends who are Democrats, that's just plain sad.  Have you hit the magic 21 mark yet and if so what's your weapon of choice for packing?

Just today, actually

I have a Springfield Armory 1911 Milspec.

Now, I just need to move somewhere that allows all the fun toys and I'll be set
