I Booked a room in Lakewood for Saturday and plan on spending a few hours and dollars at Guns and Schizzle that afternoon (look for the BFL on a white Silverado) before the show. (Want to build a lightweight KISS upper and stock up on ammo). So where should we go for a pre show tune up and meal? (Please don’t suggest Hooters).  Followed by the Sunday morning post show breakfast and drive back home to E. WA?
For the record, I’m taking my 19 going on 35yo son with me so titty bars are kind of out of the question because he can hardly pass for 14 and we get enough of that here in Wenatchee for free anyway.
Suggestions please, and thank you in advance.

Do,,, we,, know,,, you?

ETA: Searched ya, so never mind the above harry assing.

nice greasy breakfast at Hobnob, 9th Ave across from entrance to Wright Park (if you have a heart attack Tacoma General is about 200yds away).

Lots of joints to pre-party close to the venue,, what's your flavor,, shitty cheap beer joints, wine bars, martini's, brewerys?

Myself, my wife, PCR-00, Hippynik, Teleportgrend and his wife will be going to the show as well.

There are some others here who will be attending too.

There are a few places close to the Tacoma Dome that we could meet at.

Let me do some research and I'll throw out a few ideas.

Being that you are on the level, I'll vouch for you.

ETA:  Where are your seats?

The Nob is on 6th Ave. Actually, you stand a very good chance of getting a pretty good breakfast at any of the Tweten's joints. Harvester, Bur's, hell half the restaurants in town are theirs now. Bur's is my ATF. It's on Steilacoom Blvd., close to your digs. Get the chicken fried steak. It's arfcom tested, arfcom approved.

The Tacoma Dome has a place called McKinley's Grill Restaurant.

McKinley’s Grill is a great place to have a nice dinner before or during most Tacoma Dome events. Proudly serving Redhook Ales, McKinley’s Grill features a full bar, an excellent wine list and a great menu of family favorites and Northwest specialties. Hours of operation vary by event, call (253) 272-3663 for specific event information. Guests must have a ticket for that day’s event to enter the restaurant.

They open at 5 on the day of the show, so I was thinking we could meet there between 5 and 6.

The doors to the dome open at 6:30 and the concert starts promptly at 8.

What say the attendees?

Yea, lets get a meet and greet going before the show!  I got my tickets through the fan club presale so I wont know untill the day of the show where they are located. I think that it would be a blast to get together before the show, I'm not local so just name the place and we will be there! Did this for U2  a couple of time and it was a really good time.

Would love to, but way hard for me, I'd basically have to get a hotel room as well, as I actually live up close to Everett, add in the newborn and toddlers and no reliable overnight kennels that accept them, I'm screwed 'til my boy's are your age

Have a blast

<thanks for the edit Bobbity, 6th ave it is.

Harmon Brewery within walking distance of the T-dome, right on the main drag across from glass muesum. Pretty fun, I've had some good food there, and it's pretty family friendly.

Okay, we're gonna meet at McKinley's Grill Restaurant.  It's on the west side of the dome on the second level.  Let's plan on meeting between 5:30 and 6:00.  You will need a ticket to the show to enter.

More information on McKinleys....

It's located up the hill on the left from the Exhibition Hall box office.  There's a yellow awning that says McKinleys near the main Ticketmaster box office.

Who knows how good security is at the dome?

I mean, are they going to pat down the "bad guys" and find their ccw's?

Do you think they'll use metal detectors (wands)?

I just wanna feel safe, you know?
Link Posted: 12/11/2010 12:29:35 PM EDT
[#17]
I was there a month or so ago.  No pat downs and no metal detectors or wands.

That being said, it could be completely different tonight.

Weapons

For the safety of all guests, weapons of any kind, regardless of permit, are not allowed in the Tacoma Dome. The only exception to this is UNIFORMED law enforcement personnel in the performance of their official duties. The presenter of an event ticket consents to a reasonable search for weapons before entering. Failure to comply with the above conditions will result in not being admitted to the event or ejection. If a patron is not admitted to the event they will be refunded their money. However if a patron enters the Tacoma Dome and is ejected for any reason, no refunds or exchanges will be allowed in such an event.

Sons expectations were exceeded, he had been well prepped before the show and understood the concept of the Wall, I didn't want him looking at me with that WTF? Look. He is more frustrated now trying to explain it to his friends.
