So wait. He admits if a criminal wants a gun, he can go get it. But don't have one in your house because the criminal might be able to get it. By his logic, wouldn't the criminal already have a gun, leaving you defenseless?

I love that line at the end "lowest firearm death rate"....

They omitted murder, robbery, violent crime, and property crime. All of which are no where near "lowest rate in the nation".

The cops shouldn't have guns then because somehow those guns will eventually get into criminals hands as well.

They should use sticks and clubs instead.

Kind of like when that guy in Kaneohe beat his GF to death with a shotgun, and people started about issuing CCW permits so that maybe a bystander could intervene next time.... Carlisle (then prosecutor) comes on the news opposing it under the logic that he didn't want guns "to fall into the wrong hands".  Never mind the fact that the guy who killed his GF used a gun to do it.

Interesting Fact, I went to Waipahu High School with that guy...real quiet guy, I guess times change.........Thanks goodness he didn't have any ammo...*whew

Since he is the SHOPO president, might want to refrain from making dumb comments on the local news.....
