After a highly interesting conversation at Tweak's shindig the other night. I got to wondering(partly about why no one else has posted this before). But I just gotta know.....

Would you rather have Laserbeam eyes or Machinegun arms?

LOL  I got stuck debating this very topic for over 30 minutes...  In the end, who could deny the awesome power of Laserbeam Eyes?

That conversation has been a tradition of the PCR house for a long time.

The board needed that. thanks Koot

It's laser beam eyes.

No one has come up with a better use for machine gun arms than the one I've given for laser beam eyes.

interesting, if both your arms are machine guns how would you reload? and what do you do when you need to go to the bathroom?

ok, there are rules

1: the logistics do not matter.  Laser strength, Bullet Caliber, Battery power, ammount of ammo you can carry, etc

2: you must state WHY you would choose one over the other.

3: Assume that this choice is prior to combat.

GodNoStar may correct me, but I think this is the jist of it.

Yes we did. I even giggled.

I would choose Laser because Laser has positive uses besides the negative of destruction, Laser can be a effective way of healing, I've had Laser treatment and swear by it.

Laserbeam eyes!!! Yes, something in the 40 gigawatt range, please.

Now I need to get a mirrored suit to protect myself.

and a way to keep it perfectly clean while wearing it lest someones 40 gigawatt laser strike a particle of dust that has gotten stuck on your suit...

Some good ones I've heard:

Machine Gun Arms:  I can shoot around corners (without needing a mirror)
Machine Gun Arms: Duh, plunging fire
Laser Beam Eyes: I can still have the use of my hands
Machine Gun Arms: They will hear you coming
Laser Beam Eyes: Cut Tanks in half
Laser Beam Eyes: Better aim

IIRC, you can still use your hands with machine gun arms.  Fits in the logistics category, and your bro likes to mention that there aren't really any ill side effects (like weight or size issues with a 155mm machine gun arm)

So for instance if I was over at friend's late one night and wanted to have tea...I still could?

Yes you could

ETA: Say "hi" to ODT for me when you go.  What kind of tea does he make?

Laser beam eyes all the way.  Not only can you burn holes in evil doers, you can do some light cutting and welding, and you can heat up that tea yourself.  Or if your hiking you can heat some rocks to keep you warm.  And you can start up your own laser light show business on the side.
Hell you could take out Chuck Norris then sign your name on the moon.  What more could a person want?

Yes, but wouldn't your arms get really tired?

ETA: Oh wait, I just didn't let my imagination go far enough. Never mind.

You Washington people are weird

Lasr beam eyes and machine gun arms.  Hurrumph!

Evryone knows that a bazooka bellybutton beats either of your choices.

Fucking rookies.

this is a decievingly simple argument!

while i'll admit, machinegun arms would be infinitely cool, there just becomes a point in which they are tiring for their impracticality.

i mean, with lasergun eyes i still have hands in which i can drive a car, operate a manual can opener, and masturbate.

with machinegun arms, i could only shoot the car, shoot the can to bits, and shoot my... happy little friend.

it's a no brainer!

not only that, but the arms could still be used for guns... like a pair of handguns, or an rpg!

I actually heard your reason last night and I have to say...though a lot of women would thank you, its a little disturbing that you thought of it.

BTW: Would it be permanent?

You could still have your hands.  This has been noted.  Now rethink your reasoning, and repost!

I just noticed something that I missed the first time around, and since I was inside where it was warm during that part of the conversation.  What was your idea Phil?  I'm guessing laser hair removal?
