He's right, it is the next best thing to shooting,

It's just that in my list its like so:

Being a gay queen
Stamp collecting
Dressing up in sexy ripped boiler suits
Birdwatching
Model making
Bros (luke not matt)
Shooting
Fishing
Pepperami.

See, next best to shooting

I have some questions for you:
1. What calibre did you use?
2. and was it a hollow point or soft point bullet?
3. Are you allowed to use lead bullets anymore?
4. do you need permission on your FAC?

5. I didn't know zombies went fishing

Seriously, nice fish.

Imagine 33lb of furious catfish ripping 60 yards of line off the clutch in 1 go and 20 mins of arm aching furious fighting, yes it is a little bit more exciting than watching paint dry, In fact it probably surpasses emptying 100 rounds of .223 in 1 go.....Bet that's gonna get some comments!

Which one are you
Seriously though, I haven't been fishing in years. Last time was in '89 in the Caribbean, the day before Hurricane Hugo. Lots of 'Cuda's but no Marlin . We did see one though, it jumped clean out of the water about 100yds off the starboard side.

I'm not so sure, thats 12ib 8oz on an 8ft fly rod and a 4ib point?

Apart from the obvious drawbacks at supper time theyare both cracking fish though, how big was the Wels?.

If your ever up this way I've got plenty of kit, the most frustrating part is you spend the best part of your first ten trips getting the casting right, we get up to Scotland twice a year for the salmon, thats a real fightRichard

Where abouts in the country are you? We have some good Carp fishing here in Suffolk but nothing of note for Trout waters unless you like lakes, I quite like the idea of river and small brook fishing.
Yes i know casting is a bit of an art form.

Northants.

Ravensthorpe is a mile from my house, Pitsford about three miles (where the 12ib'er originated) there are a stack of smaller waters or the upper reaches of the Nene have wild brown trout, I've managed a 6ib oz wild fish on a spinner.

Hiya,

Well done Matt, sorts of puts my roach & perch well and truelly in the dark.

I'd love to go fishing here in Germany, but i only thought to do my Hunting licence before leaving the forces.

I used to go fishing in the Leeds to Liverpool canal back in the 70's, and the biggest thing that was pulled out of there was a chopper(bicycle, remember them?).

be good, and as the german anglers say 'Petri heil'.

Hiya Matt,

I know, I told you in the e-mail what I used to do in Munich, We had a fishing dept. too, and the poaching (fishing without a licence) would cost me my gun / hunting licence., and at the moment i dont have the time to take the course.

be good
