Following on from the War and Peace thread, I think this deserves it's own thread as I do need a talking to and I do need electroshock treatment, so it's perhaps best left to it's own thread.
I think I might be a gay. At saturday's show I bought something I should bever have bought. You know those purchases that seem a good idea at the time? It has raised very serious questions about my sexuality, in fact, I'm thinking of ringing up about gender re-alignment surgery if I ever buy any more. People, I bought an airsoft pistol. And I AM ashamed. The original intention was to run about shooting my mate mike with it, as he bought one too, but after seeing how fast those little balls travel, I'm not so sure I want to be shot with it. I'm hoping that since I own real rifles, the gheyness is slightly offset. Here's a picture on a suitable rainbow t-shirt:

You need a Priest....He's the only one who's gonna forgive you.... Taffy I've avoided the airsoft but I did come into possesion of a few Co2 .177 replica air pistols  I'd like to refer to them as Air-hard

The 1911's were over £100.
Fuck that for a game of soldiers. Besides, the missus wants a Glock 19 as a CCW when we emigrate so it's a 'familiarisation' experiment

Ah yes, but I paid £60 for that toy Glock.
Leaving me £109 for things for real guns, like 20rd mags, and ranger plates, which I also bought, plus I had loads of change. So I may escape the 'queen of the south' jibes yet!! Dave |

yeah I think spending over £100 to kill them pesky spiders in my house was a bit excessive.....
just wanted something more powerful, as my old spring action S&W M745 takes at least 3 shots to finish the big ones.... MP |

Dont worry Taff - thats a KSC/KWA Glock, it WILL fall apart whilst your 1911 just keeps on going. Western Arms - Ferrari of the airsoft world! ETA: Elucidate, I voted 'you are soooo ghey!' not for owning an airsoft, but for owning a non-WA airsoft GBB. |

I tried to talk elucidate into buying matching leather shoulder houlsters too.... but he wasnt having any of it...
my god my glock may fall apart?! that will be no good in a life or 'small stinging red mark' situation... what if it fails just as I'm drawing down on an eight-legged beast.......? I'm so gonna get attacked with them little fangs....hock.gif |

0.2g, 0.25g, 0.33g BB's or the baddass .45g ones you can shoot with Green ANdy

I think that's what they gave me, this HFC green gas stuff.
Mind, I'm quite happy it's a scummy cheap airsoft, I wouldn't be able to live ti down had I spent real money on a toy gun. |

The stuff in the green can labelled 'super power gas' is hfc134a - not 'green' gas. 'green' gas is VERY environment un-friendly, and difficult to get hold of in the UK. It takes your average GBB from 300fps to 500fps (with commensurate loss of longevity)

Been there, done that What I found was that in winter the metal slide conducted the cold rather *too* well, and led to a number of malfunctions. In winter the plastic slide models were more reliable.p.s. watch out for cracked hammers (at the base of the spur) |
