if interested let me know, thinking of meeting there at 10:30 a.m.
SSI is Shooting Sports Inc up near Louisburg, about 25 miles north of Raleigh beltline up on 401N.

Has a 100 yard rifle range and several pistol pits. Range is unsupervised so I'll have to act as the range officer. All club rules must be obeyed. I met a lot of you at the DRPC shoot in January. Unfortunately I can't host 20 people. Going with a coworker, maybe two,  and I'll have room for a couple others.

Have to meet one coworker along the way at 10:00, if you're  near Crossroads in Cary, we could meet there around 9:30 am.

If interested reply here.

You're good to go.   SSI is about 37 miles from Crossroads in Cary.  One of my coworkers will be meeting me at NC96/401 intersection at 10:00 am, so we need to leave Crossroads about 9:30, we'll be at the range at 10:30 no problem.  So far no one's riding with me, so you can ride shotgun!

Yeah as we discussed at the Raleigh show,  there'll be next ones, hope you can make the next  one after this.  I'm trying to get out there about every 3 weeks or so.

If you still have another slot open I might be able to come, if you don't mind a newbie comin with ya. How far is it from Cary? What time do you usually make it back down here?
Thanks, John.

You can take the second slot.  It's 37 miles from Cary Crossroads shopping plaza.  It's up on 401N, north of the beltline, just before Louisburg.  Crossroads is easy to find, so the plan is to meet at Crossroads 20 theatre at 9:30, drive up to SSI but meet someone along the way at intersection of 401N/96 at 10:00 a.m., then from 401/96 it's just 11 miles or so.  Should get there about 10:20 ish
I offered infoscout a ride and I have a 2 seater truck so you'll have to follow us.  Bring hearing and eye protection.

We usually shoot about 2-3 hours, then it's 45 minutes back to Crossroads more or less.

glad you all could make it, man I got sunburned and bit dehydrated.  We smoked cigars, had about 8 long arms between us and 6 handguns, shot a shitload of ammo.  I think I shot 250 .223 rds, 200 AK rounds, about 100 9mm to put me over the 500 mark.

I brought a 6920 a Colt Sporter II, a MAK-90, a Beretta 92FS, and a Browning HiPower.

When ready-aim-fire sends me the pics I'll post them.  You all had great range safety manners too.  I think we had the whole range to ourselves except for one other person who we could hear but couldn't see.  SSI is truly a great place to shoot.   I'll probably go back out middle of June sometime and throw out another open invite!

I can't say thanks enough, I have not been able to get out much lately, and it was an honor to meet and shoot with all of you guys.  Assaultrifler, readyaimfire, and pkrhead all had great toys and shared unselfishly.  SSI is truly a great place to shoot.  I had a blast, and I appreciate the invite and comraderie.  I too, was abit dehydrated probably more from beers the night before than the sun, although that helped.  Got to remember to bring water, lots of water.

Thanks again guys!!!!!!!

Damn Glad you guys had fun. AssaultRifler's "T.I.B."(Tactical Ironing Board) inspired me to pick up a folding camp table at chinamart the other day.

I believe Assault rifler should market the "TIB", and sell them at gunshows, have a sign that says "will trade for mags" Or "will trade for 6920's"    on his business card for TIB sales it could read,"Have TIB will travel".

I need a black ballistic nylon cover for my Tactical Ironing Board !

Wonder if AssaultRifler has any other "tactical" household tools?  Maybe a tactical vacuum cleaner to pick up brass?
Link Posted: 5/22/2005 7:04:35 AM EDT
[#25]
Tactical Crock Pot for cleaning small arms parts perhaps?

How about the tactical cigar, lights itself, and can be used to magneticaly pick up the brass?  Or a handheld weapon fan, in black of course, to keep weapons cool.

or....

What you need is the Tactical Iron, just wave it over the ground, and brass is picked up, by flippping a switch, you change the caliber of brass that is collected.

+1 on the tactical weapon cooling fan -- those black rifles get hot sitting in the sun, not to mention when you empty a few magazines through them!
Or - does anyone make a water-cooled AR-15 barrel?
