I took my son to the movie theater in Forney yesterday to see Rogue One. I dunno what's happened to the place, looks like it's changed ownership and gone to hell. Looks like they're trying to run it with 3 people, plus instituted a bunch of jackass policies, including 30.06.

All the theaters in Mesquite are full of jackasses, they won't even let police carry. Northpark is 30.06 and they've had their share of crime over there, so they're out. My wife said the Waxahachie theater has gone to assigned seating and gone to hell too.

I see the Rockwall theater on the lake isn't 30.06, how is it?

Yeah those 30.06/30.07 signs will sure stop someone from robbing or shooting up the place

Alamo Drafthouse at least only has 30.07 signs, only place I go to. Flixbrewhouse has both 30.06/30.07 signs. Plus I like the food better at Alamo.

I never thought about that. The one on Lamar would be really close, even closer once we move. Is it good for kids? Is that area reasonably safe for Dallas? Downtown at night is way too fucking nuts for me, I couldn't carry enough ammo.

Rockwall movies are GTG. I believe The Harbor may have 30.07 posted, as long as it's not 30.06 I'll still go.

I'm in the Austin area so I don't know about any of the Dallas locations.  As for kids, how old are yours?  I believe kids under a certain age (6 maybe?) are not allowed at all except for specific kid movie events, and under 18 are not allowed without an adult accompanying them.  Other than that if they are able to sit through a movie quietly then they will be fine.  My daughters are 16 & 15 years old and we've been taking them to the Alamo Drafthouse for 6 years or so and they love it.
