This brings two movies to mind. Quigley Down Under, and Navy Seals (The seen where "God" uses his thermal optics and take out two opfor behind a cinder block wall with his barret.)

Yes, of course it was! Don't you know that 5.56mm will penetrate 400ft of cinder block at a range of 26,000 meters?  Duh!  

Back to reality......

Of Course the Barrett in the movie wasn't 5.56mm, what they were stating about the cinder block wall just brought that specific movie to mind when he was shooting through the cinder block.
