Quoted: Well to make a long story short the property is over 5 acres but its about 100' from my house that I am presently building and 150' or so from the one I am living in now. Im going to take some advice and document the hell out of everything and make the sheriff get involved somehow.

You should also call your county's code enforcement department (Hi, Strat! They gots laws galore!
). They may have a way to help, also.
I dont know if it is illegal to shoot here but I would bet it is.

Illegal or not, is it safe? If not, video will help, unless someone actually gets hit. If it's not safe, consider getting teh neighbors together, and sue them. Also, check to see if there are any CC&R's recorded for their property (public information, if you know a real estate agent, they can help you get them from a title company, or the county auditor's office can help you find them), and if tehy are violating teh rules, sue them.
I did call the sheriff last night and they didn't show. Must have been a busy night if loud parties with minors drinking and gunfire can't arrouse their interest. Oh well.

Complain. I know that those in law enforcement are just sick and tired of hearing this, but you do pay a part of their salary, and if the sherrif is going to offer law enforcement services in your area, they should damn well do it. Call them every half hour until they show. If you are in an area where the only number to call to get a deputy to respond after normal business hours is to call 911, then your calls are recorded. Be polite and respectful, but demand a deputy respond.
Just a word about what may be going on: The meth house across the street from us was left alone unless the place was on fire or there was a fight or something like that over there. Then, one fine summer morn, at 0500, the SO served a search warrant and took
everyone away in cuffs, and hauled thousands of dollars of stolen stuff out of there. An SO sargeant came to talk to us later that morning, and apologized for not responding to some of the nuisance calls we'd made regarding the tweakers and the noise, traffic, and what not they made, but they were under investigation for drug dealing, and were given lots of rope to hang themselves with, which they did. It's nice and quiet over there now.
Good luck, and don't be afraid to throw grass and weed seed on their roof. It'll grow well now that the days are getting longer. You said you are doing construction. When can you start making noise in the morning? 6? I think 6 is a very good time to get all your lumber cut, or to cut firewood with a chainsaw, just make sure you are near their house. If you have any materials delivered, you tell each and every driver that the rule at your place is they must blow their truck's horn before driving on the property, moving from being parked, or backing up to warn anyone nearby. Safety first!
