Toast.Net providing me with a DSL UNE over what I think is actually a Verizon circuit (who claimed they couldn't do UNE, hence me getting it through a 3rd party). I'm way out at the end of the line. 3 Mib/s circuit technically, but they only guaranteed me 1 Mib/s when I signed up. I usually see 1.2-1.8 Mib/s... $23 a month.

WOW just upgraded me to 15 Mbps. They apparently dropped their 8 to 10 Mbps speeds that I was in.

Saturday mornings are a little better. Check your hardware. This is Cox Cleveland with four (4) bonded download and four (4) bonded upload channels thru a Motorloa Surfboard 6121 modem and then thru a Netgear WNDR4500 router with seven (7) attached devices this morning! The bonded channels make a big difference. My upload speeds were in the 8 Mbps range before that. –– Chuck |

Time Warner "Turbo". Fairly typical of the performance I usually see. I'd like more upload, but I really don't need more. Downloads are stupid fast. |

Check your hardware. My iPhone is several times faster off a cell tower!

–– Chuck If you're referring to me, I have. Numerous times. Even purchased a new router at my own expense at the recommendation of AT&T. I've called repair several times at which point they will make "network adjustments" which will speed things up to 5Mbs or so for a few days, then it slows back down. I've checked it at the NIJ, ruling out something inside the house and have used more than one PC and router both inside and at the NIJ. Same results. I guess I may have no choice but to go with TWC who I hate dealing with. |

I pay for 512Kps with our phone company it is the only
game going were we live. My IPhone is faster running video. It could be a lot worse I remember dial up when 14.4 was king. |
