Hey all- My family just moved into Wheeling, WV from Washington state. Some of you may know that the humidity in WA is virtually non-exisitent, where as here in WV, it runs about 110% daily. I want to set up my reloading bench in the basement of our new house, but it is the old block construction and seems to be very humid. Aside from dehumidifiers and dessicants, is there anything I can do to negate the affects of the humidity on my reloading components as well as my equipment and firearms? Looking for tips and trick from those who have dealt with this before.

Thank you

Maybe a radon mitigation system (which may be a concern anyway; have you had it tested)?

The pressure draw the system from under the foundation might also suck moisture before it seeps as well and they are not that expensive ($+/-200) IIRC.

This is just a guess though-

A hearty welcome to a fellow west coaster. Ex Calif. here. Also no humidity there.

My basement stays pretty dry as long as I keep it shut up.
If I open it up it will sweat being cooler and get pretty damp.
