I'd like to get the build time-frame for an AR-15 I recently procured.

MH 0504XX

Its a preban, I would guess late 80s- Early 90s.

1 800 962 COLT.

My guess is that your R6601 was manufactured in the early 90s.

I had a Colt HBAR that was MH0573XX. I purchased it on 11/19/93. Since yours is MH0504XX, it was definately made before 11/93, but most likely it was sometime in 1993.

[1999] You can't prove it was made as a full rifle (assault weapon IAW the law) before the ban, so you can't have a bayo lug, flash hider or use a large capacity magazine with it. [/1999]

Well, except that Colt never sold just stripped receivers. Every one of their receivers left the factory as a complete rifle, and thus would have been in "pre ban" configuration.

FUCK! And here I thought that 4 different goofy smiley faces and the "Can't have a large capacity magazine with it" would have shown that I was kidding.
