I just completed my first AR build and am planning to shoot it in a HP match this weekend, but right now I only have one mag. I have more on order, but probably won't have them in time.

Any good (i.e. reasonably priced...) local sources for mags? I just need 1-2 more (in addition to the one I have) to get me through this match. Thanks!

I would suggest going to the Equipment Exchange on here for great prices on mags.

Guncho. Conroe this weekend, GRB in a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, guys at the match will likely be happy to help you out with loaners, esp. if you're a newb.

I don;t know of any dealers in Houston. Is there a Gunshow this weekend?

I have seen some great prices on Mags recently!

I have bought used mags from Army surplus stores in the Houston area. Not pretty but price was right and they work.
Look in the yellow pages for one near you. There are not a lot but a few, and the ones I went to all had used mags for $18 to $20.

There is an Army Surplus Store on 1960 and Veterans, or around there, not sure what the street is. You'll see a white sign that says Army Surplus.

They have a crate of AR15 mags, but most are in bad condtion, would all still work though. I've bought 3 from there in the past few months, the best 3 I found. There were maybe 2 or 3 more in there in Decent condition. They are listed as 18.50. Kinda high compared to a gun show, but if you need mags you can get them there. Also they have a lot of other cool stuff. I've bought some ammo vests and clothes there.
