I have been looking at 0% and 80% lowers for a while and at the last few gun shows folks are selling stripped lowers for 110-129.99 plus tax.  I started running the numbers this morning and here is the deal as I see it.
Out the door a gun show lower is 140.00  ten of them are 1400.00

80% lowers are 80.00  or 10 for 800.00
we need a jig and bit set for 600.00
total is 1400.00

so we break even on 10 lowers.   That is IF we do it right the first and every time.  I like the idea of making my own gun and putting it all together.  keep in mind if you decide to do this it I will help you but YOU WILL be doing all the work.  I won’t be able to hold the tools.
What do you say?  Sound interesting.?

Not a uge incentive to buy an 80% lower when you can get a 100% lower for $90 shipped. Granted, you have to pay the transfer fee, but the savings just aren't big enough to make it worth it.

if you look only at the cost you can get 100% cheaper.
when you consider it will not have a serial number or any record.  and you have made it yourself they way you want it then...
