I sure hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season, our holiday very eventful and still keeps going and going!  The wife and I went on a near two week road / plane trip to see family and friends… a 3rd of the way into our trip while driving to CA I end up with a real bad case of food poisoning… man I didn’t know if I was coming or going and it sure made for lousy visiting I gotta tell ya… once I recover we had a few good days  until we were heading back home and the day we started back our plain was delayed several hours… a pain but not too bad after a few shot of rum at the bar! ;-)

Then the very next day we are unpacking and trying to rest from our trip and I come down with the worst case of kidney stones I every had… that last for about 24 hours and all is finely looking good and bam!  I get hit again with the kidney stones which had me up all last night and into this morning with the wind whipping and howling…

Around 6am, about an hour after the pain from my kidney stones let up some I am awoken by a loud cracking and thump followed by the power going out!!!!!  I looked out from my bedroom window to see a huge pine tree has fallen parallel with my master bedroom… whew I think, just missed that one…. However I see that there is another as larger or larger tree that was smacked by the now fallen tree and it is hung up on a few other trees… Problem?  Yes, if the wind blows the wrong way it could come down on my home!  I have called several tree cutters in my area and so far was only able to talk one and he said he could not come out to cut the tree till maybe Saturday…..!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know someone that can properly wrangle a tree to the ground with some what accuracy for a fair price?  The tree is just leaning on another large tree… I will post a pic later if the rain will let up.  Oh and one other issue is that the power has been on and off several times this morning, so I do not know how long I will be able access the web… if you know someone that can help could you please have them call me at: 360-631-3458

Thanks!

Ramster, I doubt you will get anybody to do anything with your trees till the wind at least stops, they dont play in the woods during storms for some reason.

Sorry to hear about the Illness, that sucks on vacations, I also know about Kidney stones, I get them about every other year. Enough to make a grown man cry.

Yes I figured that I would have to wait and hope the winds die down soon... I was shocked that the one guy we did talk with was out working in this now... too crazy!

Man them stones will sure get ya....  it has been several years now, but I have had them a few times before, noooooo fun at all.... I am going to go pass out again and check back later...

BTW - My new generator will be delivered next week, we took care of that during our trip… would have been nice if I already had it install today!

Sick during the holidys is no fun at all! I hope you get better soon. I think RS_Coyote is in the tree cutting business, not sure where he's located though.

I have been doing those learners everyday since the wind storm. Did one that was horizontal 30 feet off the ground over a house, but not on it I wish I would have taken the time to get some really great pictures. Anyways ramster,  is on the phone
